Fall is a glorious time in the
foothills! The leaves are changing colors and last a long time
because of the mild days and cool fall nights.
Winter is a special time of beauty. Sunny days are crisp
and clear. When a storm moves in, the lower elevations will
experience rain, and occasionally snow. Higher elevations, 3,000
foot or more might have snow.
Spring in Nevada County is alive with gorgeous wild-
flowers. Spring bulbs bloom along the highways and
many flowering shrubs and trees can be seen in the
many gardens and orchards.
Summer is a time of warm sunny days and mild nights.
Abundant blossoms, roses and green lawns make this
area a gardeners delight. |
