Cedar Ridge is
located just at the edge of Grass Valley on scenic Highway 174.
Cedar Ridge is what my dad used to call, "a wide spot in the
road". Don't blink as you pass by or you will miss it.
The elevation there is just up a little higher than downtown Grass
Valley so when it snows, you will find more there to build a snow
man. Cedar Ridge is a beautiful area with many tall pines and
cedars gracing its varied terrain.
Cedar Ridge has it's own post office, a neighborhood store, video store
and other small businesses. It is host to the gated community of
the "Cedars" where homes range in the
upper $400,000 or
higher.
The area from Cedar Ridge to Chicago Park is well known for its
produce. Many of the growers who bring their produce to the
Saturday Growers Market at the Fair Grounds live and grow
their crops in
this sun belt area. |
